Passionate for sound design, long-time friends and retired United Kingdom ravers Rog Mogale and Alex Skan, felt that there was a “void” in the sound system market.
Although there were tons of exceptional systems available, all of them seemed to look the same. In order to fill this void, the two dedicated music fans teamed up to create Void Acoustics, a now globally recognized professional audio brand.
Ever since then, Void has been putting the boom into live events and venues worldwide, producing unique, powerful and aesthetically pleasing equipment for all kinds of settings.
With Void, there are endless possibilities. From loudspeakers to amplifiers to signal processors, Void has been elevating atmospheres such as hotels, restaurants, music venues and corporate events since 2002.
If you’re looking to incorporate Void Acoustics into any of your spaces or upcoming events, Elevate Sound and Staging is a proud partner and sales retailer for Void Acoustics.
In addition to direct sales, Elevate can provide custom system designs tailored to your space, as well as professional consultation, installation and training.
All fiberglass products manufactured by Void can be customized to exactly match or simply complement one’s desired color scheme, design or branding. Void also takes special orders for custom bracing on subwoofers.
Their signature glossy red fiberglass pieces have grown distinctive to the Void brand and have been seen at events in the U.K. and North America, such as Boomtown, Dirtybird Campout and Northern Nights Music Festival. These red speakers have become sought-after by venue owners and event organizers worldwide.
In the past year alone, Void has also seen over 50 installations within the Asian-Pacific region rely on its pioneering audio technology.
“Our growth in the APAC market underscores Void’s dedication to setting the pace of audio innovation and the appetite for exceptional audio in one of the world’s most dynamic regions,” said Skan, Managing Director at Void Acoustics. “We are thrilled to contribute to the region’s entertainment landscape and look forward to bringing our cutting-edge solutions to even more iconic locations.”
Other than aesthetics, Void speakers are made from long-lasting materials and are known for their ability to handle high sound pressure levels. This is especially important for venues and nightclubs that hope to deliver immersive experiences to their attendees.
This durability is achieved through the company’s cutting-edge designs of both its amplification systems and drivers, allowing them to create loud and clear sound without distortion, even in the most challenging environments.
Void incorporates advanced digital signal processing technologies into their products, allowing for precise tuning and sound optimization. These features, such as time alignment and adjustable EQ, help make the audio output adaptable in specific environments.
Their unique designs often feature advanced horn and waveguide technologies as well, which help in controlling and directing the sound more effectively.
Void Acoustics’ overall commitment to consistency, innovation, flexibility and brand identity has proven them today as reliable front-runners within the professional audio community.
Alongside its specialization in live event production, Elevate Sound and Staging serves as Void Acoustics’ authorized sales retailer and preferred rental partner based in Southern California, ready to continue enhancing environments by spreading both them and Void’s assets.

Elevating Ocean Beach’s Oktoberfest with Void Acoustics

Ocean Beach’s annual Oktoberfest was an eclectic two-day festival filled with beers, tunes and beachside views. OB Oktoberfest prides itself as “San Diego’s Wildest Oktoberfest,” so this year, they doubled their festival grounds and introduced a brand new stage, the High Noon Electronica Stage.
This addition called for non-stop beats and top-notch sound, featuring performances from artists like Cut Snake, Tara Brooks, Kaipora and DJ Green T, along with many others. Over the course of the weekend, Elevate Sound and Staging was chosen to run audio for the new stage, showcasing a variety of high-quality pieces produced by Void Acoustics.
On the left and right side of the electronic stage, Elevate set up two Air Motion systems. Air Motion speakers are versatile enough to perform well in any setting that requires powerful sound reinforcement. The speaker’s high output and clarity allows it to produce strong sound quality in open spaces, making it the perfect choice for the outdoor festival.
On top of the Air Motions, Air Vantages, stylishly modern high-end loudspeakers, were also implemented. The Air Vantages provided consistent audio and a dynamic visual impact, creating a unique experience for both the artists and the attendees. Not only can the Air Vantage speakers be configured in various arrangements, allowing for flexibility in sound design and reinforcement, but they also are lightweight and portable, making them ideal for a gig like Oktoberfest.
To support the Air Motions and Air Vantages, Elevate also brought out two Bias Q5 Amplifiers and four Stasys XV2’s, both manufactured by Void Acoustics as well. The Bias Q5 Amplifier was used to provide high-quality amplification for the sound systems. It did so by boosting the audio signal to drive the speakers, ensuring that they would produce loud and clear sound.
The Q5 amplifiers are durable, energy-efficient and versatile with a variety of different audio systems. Like the Air Vantage speakers, the Q5 is also lightweight and compact, making it great for touring and mobile setups.
The Stasys XV2 is a modular rigging system designed for safely and properly mounting professionally designed speakers, allowing for flexible configurations in environments with live sound. Due to its adaptable design, quick and easy assembly, rugged material and optimized sound distribution, the Stasys XV2 is an essential tool for sound professionals looking to efficiently rig audio equipment while maintaining safety and sound quality.
OB Oktoberfest took place from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, October 11, and 12 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 12. The Elevate Sound and Staging team worked together to produce top-tier sound quality for both the artists and crowd members at OB Oktoberfest’s electronic music stage.
“I don’t normally freak out over the sound at shows, but I’m kind of fangirling a bit,” said Shannon, an Oktoberfest attendee. “I came out here on a whim and ended up having the best time just dancing to the music!”
Whether it’s a high-quality setup for a corporate event, a dynamic solution for a local function, or running the sound for a stage at a German beer festival, Elevate Sound and Staging is here to help.
Their extensive range of Void Acoustics equipment ensures exceptional audio performance for any occasion, providing clear sound and robust reliability.
