Music is 4 Lovers – Day of the Dead

Void is 4 Lovers

At the Lovelife Dia de Los Muertos celebration, just about all the spirits and souls of San Diego danced the night away.

On November 1, Elevate Sound and Staging ran sound for three stages at the Lovelife Day of the Dead party. The event took place at The Prado in Balboa Park, San Diego from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Decorated with vibrant flowers and brightly lit candles, the party was curated by Music is 4 Lovers, a well-known online music outlet and community that focuses on house, techno, and electronic music. It included performances from artists like Adam Ten, Zombies in Miami, Tyler Chase, Justin Vilhauer, and more.

To make sure that this sold out event produced nothing but excellent sound quality, Elevate Sound and Staging team brought out a variety of top-tier pieces by Void Acoustics, running sound for the Tierra de los Muertos stage, the Jardin de los Muertos stage, and the Hecho en Mexico stage. There was also the Discoteca Silenciosa.

In terms of equipment, Elevate brought parts from the Void Air and Stasys series.

Air Motion speakers were set up on the sides of the stages. The Air Motion speakers are known for its iconic appearance and exceptional sound quality, guaranteeing them to leave a lasting impression on the Lovelife audience.

Throughout the night, the Air Motion speakers maintained high volume output levels without introducing any distortion, making them perfect for the live performance.

Alongside the Air Motions, Elevate also used Air Vantages, another durable yet stylish high-end loudspeaker. The Air Vantages delivered reliable sound and held a captivating visual presence, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for both the performers and the audience.

Some other benefits of the Air Vantage speakers include its compact design, advanced waveguide technology and custom-designed drivers, providing consistent and even sound coverage all throughout the venue.

To support the Air Motions and Air Vantages, Elevate also brought out two Bias Q5 Amplifiers, a Stasys 118 subwoofer, and a Stasys Xair, a special ‘Air’ edition of the Stasys XV2.

The two Bias Q5 Amplifiers were used by Elevate to power the sound systems. The Q5 Amplifiers are ideal for events like this because they often come equipped with advanced DSP functions. DSP functions include EQ settings, limiters and crossover frequencies.

These functions allowed the Elevate team to further control and optimize the sound when higher volume and more clarity was needed at each of the Lovelife party stages.

To deliver the deepest bass possible, Elevate utilized a Stasys 118 Subwoofer, also manufactured by Void Acoustics.

This subwoofer is specifically engineered to produce low-frequency output, enhancing the bass response in audio systems and adding depth to the music.

It has a high volume output and can be used in conjunction with other Void Acoustics products, like the Stasys Xair, to create an exceptional full-range sound system in both live sound and fixed installations.

The Stasys Xair is a powerful line array speaker system designed to deliver crisp and even sound coverage for professional audio applications. Despite its relatively compact size, the Stasys Xair can produce high output levels, making it ideal for venues with limited space yet still demanding high-quality sound.

From rentals to full services, Elevate Sound and Staging is here to provide you with all of your live event production needs, covering audio, lighting, video, staging, equipment, and production labor.
